Description

A high quality camp situated in an exceptional area. His small capacity to welcome 18 people and the professionalism of its staff make it a remarkable stopover. Moreover, 85% of guests who stay two nights have the opportunity to observe the rare elephants of the desert.

Location

It is located on the northern face of the Huab River Valley and looking south toward the imposing Brandberg Mountains, Damaraland Camp offers its guests endless vistas.

Accommodation available:

It has 10 tented rooms each with an en-suite bathroom including flush toilet and shower with hot and cold running water. All tents have valley views and each has en suite facilities and a covered veranda. The main living area made from local rock and canvas combines the dining room, lounge, curio shop and bar. A feature of the camp is a stunning rock plunge pool tucked away in a mini gorge behind the camp. Dinner can be enjoyed beside a roaring fire in an open air “kraal” under a billion stars.

Facilities available:

The stone living area combines the dining room and pub and an open fire is enjoyed on calm evenings. There is a swimming pool next to the bar. A laundry service is also offered.

Activities:

    – Revolving around nature drives into the Huab River System in search of Desert adapted Elephants and other specially adapted flora and fauna.

  • Walking and mountain biking in the Damaraland area is spectacular and is highly recommended as an afternoon activity.
  • A trip can be arranged to the famous Twyfelfontein rock engravings located nearby.
  • Private vehicles for these excursions can be booked at an additional cost subject to availability either prior to departure or directly with the Camp Manager.
  • A three night stay in camp includes an excursion to the world reknown rock engravings.
