Xaro Lodge is located a few kilometers from Shakawe, in northwest Botswana, on the tranquil banks of the Okavango River. Nestled among giant mangosteen trees and accessible only by boat, the lodge is home to a myriad of birds.
Xaro Lodge has 11 rooms in total and offers 3 different types of rooms:
• 1 “Honeymoon” suite with a king-size bed, luxury bathroom, private garden, balcony surrounding the suite, as well as a lounge area and a mini-bar.
• 9 standard “Meru Tent” type tents, with bathroom, private balcony and river view
• 1 family room with 2 standard tents and a shared bathroom
Each tent is located on a raised wooden terrace.
They can be removed without leaving traces on the ground.
The lodge is solar powered, and uses fresh, filtered river water for showers and laundry.

Xaro Lodge offers activities* such as boat tours, fishing and guided walk around the island. This area allows you to observe many species of birds and of course hippo and crocodiles. You will discover this fascinating ecosystem.
The camp also organizes day trip to Tsodilho Hill. For this, you must plan two nights on site and inform us in advance to make the reservation.
